The elbow below DN800mm is integral formed by winding. The large FRP elbow is formed by hand lay-up. There are three structural styles of FRP elbow: integral forming on mould, half-mould split forming, and miter forming after prefabricated pipe.
1. Integral forming on mould, FYGRP uses metal mould below DN800mm on which whole forming with FRP raw materials by winding process.
2. Half-mould split forming, FYGRP makes half-elbow mould in the case of no related elbow mould, after making two half FRP elbow, and the two are spliced into a finished elbow.
3. Miter forming after prefabricated pipe: Firstly, make FRP pipe of the same specification, cut the pipe into several sections and then spliced into elbow. This method is most used in the condition of certain stiffness requirement for FRP elbows, or there is no existing mould while the cost of making mould is relatively expensive.
