The circulating water inlet pipe of nuclear power plant(NPP) is circulating water pressure pipe from the combined pump room to the conventional island steam turbine room to provide the circulating cooling water to the conventional island condenser. The circulating water drain pipe is the drainage pipe from the conventional island turbine, siphon well, discharge
circulating water and hot water from the condenser, and at the same time serves as the water supply to the auxiliary cooling water system (SEN). Many nuclear power plants use reinforced plastic (FRP) to strengthen concrete pipes to distribute cooling water and running water. Large diameter fiberglass pipes form the main device of the plant cooling water system and work well in underground environments. Sand and slurry particles in the sea water will cause abrasion to the pipeline, also sea water itself have corrosion effect. The superposition of the two effects will seriously shorten the service life of the pipeline. The corrosion resistance of FYGRP pipeline and EPDM rubber ring is great, and the corrosion effect can be basically eliminated, the FRP pipe essentially has good abrasion resistance, the average sand content of local seawater is 0.021kg/m3 in common project, so the sand content of seawater is relatively small, and the erosion effect of sand to pipeline is slight. In engineering design, in order to reduce the pipe abrasion, the pipe lay gently, reduce elbow and other pipe fittings, and add abrasion layer of silicon carbide, reasonably select resin, FYGRP is in strict accordance with the requirements of food grade tap water, having been certified by FDA and meets the ASME standard. FRP pipeline is the owner's best choice for long-distance transportation of seawater and tap water.
