Your first hour
This page explains, in order, what to do from your first join until you start your first civilian job.

1. When you first spawn
- Your character starts with $500 in cash and $0 in the bank.
- A welcome text from the LS Civic Support Center arrives on your phone. You open the phone with
End. - The starter guide on your screen shows your current step. You can turn it on and off with
/guide. - Type
/guide gpsto see the route to the place for your current step.
2. The six settlement steps

| 2 | Get your first car | Press E at the airport rental counter. You get a starter car free for 3 days. |
| 3 | Park | Stop the car, make sure everyone gets out, then type /vp. |
| 4 | Take the car out | Type /vg. |
| 5 | Visit the Civic Support Center | Press E at the center. |
| 6 | First civilian job | Do scavenging, mining, fishing, sanitation or crate delivery. |
Once you finish step 6, more goals arrive by text, such as using a self-service rental car and reaching level 2 in a civilian job.
3. Starting your first civilian job
- Press
Eat the Civic Support Center and pick a job. The GPS guides you to the work site. - If you pick a job that needs a tool, such as mining or fishing, and you do not have the tool, the GPS takes you to a seller first.
- The quickest job to start is scavenging, because it needs no tool. Press
Eat a search spot. - Take what you collected to the buyer and sell it.
4. Your first night
If you need somewhere to store items and rest, rent a motel room. A room costs $40 a day, and you pay for 1–7 days in advance. Page 12 has the details.
5. Common commands
