IC, OOC and basic rules
This page explains how to keep IC and OOC apart and which behavior is sanctioned on the server.
Summary
- IC is what your character says and does, and OOC is what you say as the player.
- Using information you learned OOC in IC situations is metagaming (MG).
- Attacking for no reason (DM), ramming people with a car (VDM) and forcing results on others (PG) are sanctioned.
- You report rule violations with
/reportafter the scene is over.
1. IC and OOC
| Type | Meaning | Where |
|---|---|---|
| IC (In Character) | What your character says and does | Plain typing, /me, /do |
| OOC (Out Of Character) | What you say as the player | /b, /pm, /n |

/b.Good

2. Metagaming (MG)
Metagaming means using information you learned OOC as if your character had known it all along. The following are examples of metagaming.
- You call a stranger by the name tag above their head. You can turn name tags on and off with
/nametag. - You go to a place because you saw it on Discord or on a stream.
- You repeat in IC a secret that you heard in OOC chat.
3. Sanctioned behavior
| Short | Meaning | Example |

| DM | Attacking or killing someone for no reason, without RP | Shooting a passer-by without a word |
| VDM | Hitting or ramming people with a car on purpose | Ramming someone again and again in a car park |
| PG | Giving others no chance to respond, or doing something impossible in real life | /me knocks him out with one punch. |
| MG | Using OOC information in IC situations | Knowing a hiding place from a stream |
| Non-RP | Acting as yourself instead of as your character | Running from police while typing “lol” |
The full server rules are on the Rules page. Read them before you connect.
Warning
If someone seems to break a rule during a scene, do not argue about it IC or over /b. Finish the scene first, then report it with /report ID text.
